1. You can maintain healthy skin with a healthy diet, including lots of raw vegetables and fruits. Avoid oily and junk food.
2. Exfoliate regularly to remove the older dead skin. This will leave your skin very smooth and frest. Try not to over-exfoliate as this will cause your skin to lose moisture, leaving it prone to redness and acne.
3. Whether you have oily, dry or combination skin, you should always moisturise your skin. Invest in the right facial moisturiser for your skin type.
4. Opt for a satin pillowcase to prevent sleep wrinkles and wash your pilowcase regularly to avoid the spread of bacteria. A clean pillowcase can prevent pimples.
5. Avoid washing your face with hot water. This strips the skin of its natural oils and can leave it parched.
6. Never sleep with a full face of makeup. Wash your skin every night to remove the daily grime and makeup. At the very least use face wipes.
7. Remove makeup with a cleanser before washing. This will prevent you from exfoliating makeup into your pores.
8. Clean your makeup brushes regularly. Dirty makeup brushes are breeding ground for bacteria and can cause havoc on your skin.
9. Wear a skin protector all year round, even in the winter and autumn months. A good SPF will not only protect your skin from the sun, it also prevents premature ageing.
10. Use a tinted moisturiser when working out or going to the gym. When sweat mixes with your foundation it changes the PH balance and minimises the affect and look of your foundation.
